Family profiles stay on your device.
Little Now is a parent- and caregiver-facing play companion. It has no account, cloud sync, advertising, tracking or family-data backend. The optional Local Outings feature uses Google Places only after a caregiver accepts a separate disclosure and starts a search.
Child nickname and birth month, broad interests, readiness and practical preferences, saved activity and place identifiers, and play or outing choices.
Little Now has no backend that receives family profiles, play history, photos, location, contacts, diagnoses or advertising identifiers.
Each iPhone, iPad or browser keeps its own record and recommendations. There is no household sharing or cross-device sync.
Export a JSON copy or permanently delete the record from Profile. Deleting the app also removes its active local record.
How recommendations work
Recommendations are calculated inside the app from the profile and previous choices stored there. Little Now does not receive those details. The app does not score, diagnose or predict a child's development.
Optional Local Outings and Google
Local Outings requires an internet connection. When a caregiver searches, the entered suburb or partial postcode—or a current device coordinate after iOS permission—is sent directly from the device to Google through the Places SDK for iOS. Google returns area candidates and current place details. Little Now does not send the child profile, nickname, birth month, interests or activity history with that request.
Your last chosen Outings origin—either a broad selected area or a current-location coordinate—is stored in Little Now on this device so the app can reopen Outings without asking again. It is not included in family-data exports or sent to Little Now. If you save an outing, the app stores the Google Place ID, outing guide ID and timestamp locally; it requests current place details from Google again when needed. Outing interaction history remains local.
The Google Places SDK's privacy manifest declares collection of coarse and precise location, a device identifier, search history, product interaction, performance data and other technical data for app functionality and analytics. It marks the device identifier and some other technical data as linked to the device, and declares no tracking. Little Now does not run a separate analytics service or receive this Google data. Google handles it under its own policies. Review the Google Privacy Policy, Google Maps Platform Terms and our Terms of Use. Place details and third-party attributions can be incomplete or out of date.
Public pages and deliberate sharing
Opening the public privacy, support or evidence pages makes an ordinary web request to the hosting provider, which may process technical request information such as an IP address for delivery and security. The app does not attach the family profile or play history to those requests. If you export data or use the iOS share sheet, that copy leaves the app and is handled by the destination you choose.
Device storage and Apple backups
The iOS app stores its active record in its local app container and requests Apple's Complete file-protection class. Someone who can unlock the device may be able to access the app. iOS may include app-container data in an encrypted device or iCloud backup according to the caregiver's Apple settings. Little Now cannot inspect or delete Apple backups. Deleting the app or erasing its data can make the active record unrecoverable; exported copies are not deleted with it.
Notifications
Reminders are optional local notifications. Permission is requested only when a caregiver schedules one. Reminder text contains an activity title, not the child's nickname or profile. Native activity links contain only a generic catalogue slug and are still checked against the locally stored age range before opening.
What the app deliberately avoids
No child account, legal name requirement, photo or audio upload, background or continuous location, contacts access, behavioural advertising, Little Now analytics or crash-reporting service, purchase profiling or generated developmental advice. The last Outings origin is the only location retained by Little Now, and it remains in local app storage until it is changed or device data is deleted.
